Monclova, Mexico

Monclova is an industrial town in northern central Mexico in which there were no services for indigent amputees. The local disabled community had decided to begin a community based rehabilitation program of thier own.  They have gotten the attention of thier local government and the mayor has promised his support of any program they are able to put together.

Prosthetika provided the first training program for technicians and therapists. During the first training workshop, prostheses were made using locally available materials and working side by side with the students.
